The school’s government bodies have transitioned to online meetings as well, including student government. The university has switched to online classes in the past two weeks, and officials urged students to return home if they are able. “COVID-19 and hate will be defeated,” he concluded. UF President Kent Fuchs wrote on Twitter that he was informed of the incident the same night, and called the messages “horrific.” He said he ordered the university’s IT department and UF police to investigate.
